Standing Desks
UPLIFT V2 Frame
UPLIFT Desk's flagship dual-motor frame. 25.3–50.9" height range, 355-pound capacity, anti-collision, 4-preset advanced keypad, 15-year warranty on frame and motors.
Our take
The default 'just buy this' recommendation in 2026. Best-in-class stability under load thanks to the C-frame design, longest warranty in the segment, and the only frame in this price tier that fits a 6'8" user standing without modification.
Fully Jarvis Bamboo
Now under Herman Miller. Dual-motor, 25–50.5" range, 350-pound capacity, anti-collision, 4 presets, 15-year warranty. Slimmer crossbar and quieter motor than UPLIFT.
Our take
Strongest design language in the segment — Jarvis looks intentional on camera. Spec parity with UPLIFT V2 is essentially exact; pick on aesthetics and minor ergonomic details rather than performance.
Vari Electric Standing Desk
Vari's electric frame paired with their laminate tops. 25–50.5" range, 200-pound capacity, dual motors, 5-year warranty on the frame.
Our take
Lighter-duty option from a B2B-leaning brand. Comfortable for users under 250 pounds of monitor + accessory load. Warranty terms are shorter than UPLIFT/Fully — factor that into total cost of ownership.
FlexiSpot E7 Pro
FlexiSpot's price-to-feature champion. Inverted T-frame, 22.8–48.4" range, 220-pound capacity, 4 presets, anti-collision, 15-year warranty on the frame.
Our take
Best frame stability in the sub-$500 tier. The 48.4" max height excludes users over 6'3" from a true standing position; otherwise the spec sheet is competitive with UPLIFT V2 at a real-world $150 discount.
Branch Duo Standing Desk
Direct-to-consumer with simplified options. Single SKU, 26.5–46.5" range, 220-pound capacity, dual-stage legs, 2 preset memory, 7-year warranty.
Our take
Right answer for buyers who don't want to spec a desk. Lower max height limits taller standing users. Tradeoff is simplicity and a faster ship time than UPLIFT or Fully.
Monitor Arms
Ergotron LX
Ergotron's workhorse single-arm. Supports 7–25 lb monitors up to 34". Constant-force lift, 360° pan and tilt, 10-year warranty.
Our take
The benchmark single monitor arm. Smooth lift across the entire weight range and the most durable build in the segment. Pay attention to the weight rating — heavy ultrawides at the top of the spec need the HX.
Ergotron HX
Ergotron's heavy-duty single arm. Supports 11–42 lb monitors up to 49". Same constant-force mechanism, scaled up for ultrawides and curved displays.
Our take
Required if you run a 49" superultrawide or a heavy 38" curved panel. Overkill for 24–27" desktop monitors — buy the LX for those and save $180.
Jarvis Single Monitor Arm
Fully's house-brand monitor arm. 6–19.8 lb capacity, up to 32" displays, gas spring with adjustable tension, 5-year warranty.
Our take
Solid sub-$150 option, especially when bundled with a Jarvis desk. Tension calibration is finicky on first install but stable after. Not for monitors near or over 20 lb.
Fully Cooper Monitor Arm
Fully's upgraded mid-tier arm. 5–20 lb capacity, up to 34" displays, cable management channels, premium finishes.
Our take
The step-up from Jarvis arm with better cable routing and finishes. Still under Ergotron LX in build feel and longevity, but a reasonable match for visual continuity with a Jarvis desk.
Herman Miller Flo
Herman Miller's premium monitor arm. Patented spring mechanism, 4.4–20 lb capacity, intuitive grip-and-move adjustment.
Our take
Best feel-in-hand of any arm we've tested — adjustments require almost no force. Hard to justify at twice the LX price unless your install benefits from the cleaner aesthetic or a corporate furniture spec is involved.
Humanscale M2.1
Humanscale's spring-counterbalance arm. Tool-free monitor mounting, 5–20 lb range, 24" reach, 15-year warranty.
Our take
The tool-free mounting is genuinely useful when swapping monitors. Otherwise positioned near the Flo but with a more clinical aesthetic — fits corporate offices better than home setups.
Ergonomic Chairs
Herman Miller Aeron
The reference task chair. 8Z Pellicle mesh, PostureFit SL lumbar, four-position tilt limiter, 12-year warranty.
Our take
Still the default if budget allows. Aeron remastered (2017) improved the lumbar and tilt mechanics over the original. Buy the Size B unless you're under 5'4" or over 6'3". Refurbished units from authorized resellers are the best value path.
Steelcase Leap V2
Live Back contoured backrest, natural glide system, fully adjustable arms, 12-year warranty.
Our take
Stronger lumbar support than Aeron for users with existing lower-back issues. Fabric upholstery runs warmer than mesh — fine in air-conditioned spaces, hot in summer without AC.
Branch Ergonomic Chair Pro
Direct-to-consumer task chair. 4D armrests, lumbar with depth adjustment, mesh back, 7-year warranty.
Our take
The strongest under-$800 chair in the current market. Comparable spec sheet to chairs at $1,400+ from legacy brands. Build feel is a notch below Aeron/Leap; longevity remains an open question relative to a 25-year-old design.
Autonomous ErgoChair Pro
Budget mesh ergonomic chair. Adjustable lumbar, headrest, 3D armrests, 2-year warranty.
Our take
Honest sub-$500 option with the right adjustment surfaces. Warranty terms are the weakness — at this price expect a 3–5 year usable lifespan.
HON Ignition 2.0
Contract-grade task chair. Adjustable lumbar, mesh back, 250-pound rating, lifetime limited warranty.
Our take
Reliable budget pick available from office-supply retailers. Doesn't match the adjustment range of Aeron/Leap but covers the essentials and ships fast.
Accessories
Topo Anti-Fatigue Mat
Ergodriven's foam standing mat with terrain — bumps, ridges, and a calf step encourage movement instead of static standing.
Our take
The only standing mat we've tested that genuinely changes how you stand. Flat foam mats are a marginal improvement over flat floor; Topo's terrain is a real one.
Humanscale Keyboard Tray (6G)
Negative-tilt keyboard tray with full Humanscale-branded platform. Tool-free adjustment, swivels, 15-year warranty.
Our take
The serious keyboard-tray answer. Required for users with wrist issues — a 5° negative tilt is the single most evidence-based ergonomic adjustment after monitor height. Lighter alternatives exist; nothing matches Humanscale's adjustability.
BenQ ScreenBar Halo
Monitor-mounted task light. Adjustable color temperature, brightness, wireless remote, glare-free design.
Our take
The best desk lamp in 2026 is not a desk lamp — it's a screenbar. Halo lights the desk surface without reflecting off the monitor. Replaces a desk lamp for most setups.
CalDigit TS4 Thunderbolt Dock
Thunderbolt 4 dock with 18 ports, 98W laptop charging, dual 8K or quad 4K display support.
Our take
Best-in-class for a single-cable laptop setup. The 98W charging covers all but the heaviest workstation laptops; quad 4K display support is excessive for most desks but useful for video editors and traders.
